Meet the Powerful Young Indian Politicians



Most of the Indian citizens expect that it would be better if the country has young and energetic leaders to lead the country along with experienced senior politicians. Yes, it is true that the Indian politics must give an equivalent chance to the courageous youngsters who wish to rule and contribute to the society and the country. The citizens of India are cautiously electing their leaders who are capable of taking a note on the welfare of the society. Likewise, at present many of the youngsters are been given a chance to showcase their talent in the Indian politics. Here are some of the known young Indian politicians who have been elected to rule the society.


1. Akhilesh Yadav:


Born in the year 1973, Akhilesh is the son of Samajwadi Pary President and the Ex-Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh [UP] Mulayam Singh Yadav. He is the present Chief Minister of the State of Uttar Pradesh. In the year 2000, he was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Kannauj in the by-election and he was successful in retaining his seat for the years 2004 and 2009 in the general election.  Before becoming the CM of Uttar Pradesh, he successfully led the campaign to bring the Samajwadi Party to get back its power in this year’s assembly election. He completed his Civil Engineering degree from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore. After completing his degree in civil engineering, he did his Masters in Environment engineering from Sydney University.  His way of campaigning style introduced modern elements in the campaigning style of the Samajwadi Party and he was successful in attracting young voters and people from various communities during his Rath Yatra which was conducted across the State of UP.



2. Rahul Gandhi:


Rahul Gandhi [Born in the year 1970], General Secretary of the Indian National Congress, is the son of Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. After completing his Bachelor of Arts in 1994 from the Rollins College,he moved on to Trinity College of Cambridge University to complete his M.Phil in 1995. He announced his entry into politics in the year 2004 by announcing that he would contest in that year’s May elections for the Lok Sabha seat from his father’s former constituency of Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.  The seat was been held by his mother until she transferred to Rae Barelly seat. At that time, Congress party was really doing bad in Uttar Pradesh by holding only 10 out of 80 Lok Sabha seats.




3. Milind Deora:


Born in the year 1976, Milind Deora is the member of 15th Lok Sabha which is the lower house of Parliament of India from South Mumbai constituency. He is the son of veteran politician Murali Deora , who was the Member of Parliament from the same South Mumbai constituency between the years 1984 and 1996. Milind is the Bachelor of Arts degree holder in Business and Political Science from the University of Boston.  Apart from being a political leader, Milind Deora is the founder of SPARSH which is the social initiative aiming to educate students in computer and IT proficiency.  In the year 2011, he was made the Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology. 




4. Sachin Pilot:


Sachin Pilot is the son of former Congress politician and Union Minister Late Rajesh Pilot who was also a Squadron Leader in the Air Force.  Sachin is a Management graduate from the esteemed Wharton Buisness School from the University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A. He is at present the Minister of State for IT and Communication and represents the Ajmer constituency of Rajasthan and is the member of the Indian National Congress.







5. Agatha Sangma:


Agatha Sangma represents the Tura constituency from the State of Meghalaya as the candidate of the Nationalist Congress Party. She is considered to be the youngest member of the Parliament and also the youngest Minister. She is the Minister of State for Rural Development. Agatha is the daughter of prominent Indian politician and the former speaker of the Lok Sabha P.A. Sangma.  She holds a Masters Degree in Environment Management from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom.
