SHARAD PAWAR NCP president, Agriculture minister, ICC ex-president

Power Player
SHARAD PAWAR
NCP president, Agriculture minister, ICC ex-president
Apart from making a mark as Maharashtra’s youngest chief minister 34 years ago, Sharad Pawar has made news for pathbreaking policies. Known to work 16 hours a day, the electoral record of this indefatigable politician remains unmatched. Multitasking is Pawar's forte. Though managing cricket took up most of his time last year, the Union agriculture minister managed to balance New Delhi and Mumbai with perfect calibration. His journey is dotted with several milestones that make him one of the country’s most outstanding leaders. His tenure as head of the ICC was successful as he delivered the best World Cup ever.
A big difference
between Sharad Pawar and other politicians is that he talks less about politics and more about development. We should not forget that at a time when many countries are short of grain, India has had record production and even exports food.
