My daughter had reported few months back that she saw a boy at the Chinese food handcart outside our complex shoot a pigeon with his catapult, bring it to the cart and keep it below the platform. Today, I get a SMS from Karuna informing that they have filed a case against a Chinese cart for killing and serving pigeon meat as chicken meat in the soups and chicken preparations (Mumbai Mirror Page 11) Have the sparrows also been landing up in the Chinese soups and manchurians? -ghate PS: Incidentally, you would have often seen dead chicken inside the vehicles that transport them. As the chicken shop people buy only live chicken, I once asked the vehicle attendant as to what is done with the dead chicken. He non-chalantly told me that they went to the Chinese carts by the roadside at a pretty discounted price. Draw your own morals. CAPCON THANE - 400 602 Maharashtra, INDIA.
