'Replace scooter for not keeping mileage promise' | ||
Vile Parle resident Manohar filed a complaint against Suzuki Motorcycles and Malad-based dealer Akshay Automobiles on July 2, 2010. According to his complaint he bought his scooter in March 2008. However he took possession only in April 2008 having been assured of a discount of Rs1,867 post the new budget. The manufacturing faults in the scooter started surfacing soon after he started using it. For starters the scooter would refuse to refuse to start with the self start button and each morning Manohar would have to apply a kick five to six times to get it started. However, the problems only began after the scooter started considering it would keep stopping on the road every now and then. There was no improvement in the scooter's performance even after being serviced. The company suggested a weird redressal of waiting till the scooter covered 1000km.The forum recently passed an ex-parte order giving Manohar some realistic hope to enjoy a better ride sometime soon. |
