MAKE SURE YOU SWITCH OFF THE LIGHTS FOR ONE HOUR THIS SATURDAY

    Earth Hour is back, and it's bigger than ever before! This year, on Saturday, 23rd March 2013, switch off lights from 8:30 - 9:30 PM, and make the transition to renewable energy solutions. Pledge your support, and commit to action all year round.
    Earth Hour, till today, has inspired 7,001 cities and towns and around 152 countries and territories to work towards the environment. The message of Earth Hour 2013 is to make the switch to renewable energy. "The fight against climate change takes more than just one day of action. We must continue to conserve after that one hour also. You can write poems on Earth Hour which will be read out at our events," says V Appukuttan from Young Environmentalists NGO.
    Through this Earth Hour, every individual is advised to adopt household products powered by renewable energy, and organisations are requested to adopt the renewable energy solutions to run their business operations and production processes. Several environmentalists have also requested government to promote policies favourable to the production and uptake of renewable energy.
    Earth Hour has successfully united millions of people around the world as it strives to gain the support of more and more people. So, are you going to switch off ?
