Pamper zone

Spa soothing is no longer about getting just a pedicure — try out capsule treatments, shiatsu massages and more

Rejuvenating today seems to have gone way beyond just visiting your favourite parlour and getting a quick facial and a pedicure. City-based spas and salons are now introducing exotic treatments that offer to pamper your body in a way like never before.
Take for instance the Capsule treatment at Caressa Spa. Rekha Chaudhari, of the spa, says that they have taken the pains to patent two capsule treatments, namely the Derma Capsule and the Alpha Capsule for the Indian clientele. "Derma offers an exotic combination of advanced techniques like colorbath, vichy shower, vibrant bed and hydra therapy. It's also ideal for body wraps, muds, gels and other body spa services. Alpha, on the other hand, is a unique and versatile spa system with a self-contained dry heat sauna and oxygen therapy," says Rekha, adding that the latter's moist, gentle steam, infused with natural and essential oils and herbal aromatics help enhance a spa experience.
If that is a tad bit much for you to go for, Juice salons in the city are now exploring the Moroccan secret. "It was once a closely guarded secret, but apart from being one of the most expensive and rare oils in the world, Argan oil is also nature's gift to mankind. It revitalises hair like no other," claims Sangeeta Mahenthura of the salon.
Nisha Javeri of Myrah Spa has a series of Divine Hand and Eye Treatments for those in the mood to indulge. "It's in the divine series because they help unwind instantly. The divine hand treatment is like a hand facial, specifically for those with thin and delicate skin. Divine eye treatment helps combat premature ageing under the eye," says Nisha.
Apart from these, Nisha also has an array of aromatherapies, shiatsu and Swedish massages to offer a tired spa junkie.
