The sales of the tech world are booming and fortunes are growing, the opportunities seem endless. However the tech world is the most volatile market, the fortune of majority of world's billionaires soared very high whereas for many it has come down too.



Forbes 400 has once again listed out richest tech personalities in the world over. Here the top 10 who made it to the list.

He had co founded Microsoft with Paul Allen on April 4, 1975. He has been consistently ranked among the world's wealthiest people and was the wealthiest overall from 1995 to 2009, excluding 2008, when he was ranked third. Yet once again he has come up to dominate the first position of world's richest techies in the world.

In the year ending May 31, 2009 he made $56.8 million.


On July 2, 2009, for the fourth year in a row, Oracle's Board awarded Ellison another 7 million stock options. On August 22, 2009, it was reported that Ellison would be paid only $1 for his base salary for the fiscal year of 2010, down from the $1,000,000 he was paid in fiscal 2009.
