Mahesh Bhatt is on my radar: Raj

Party will continue checking if foreign artistes have work permit

Raj Thackeray on Wednesday announced that film producer Mahesh Bhatt was on his radar for 'falsely implicating 11 of his party workers in a case of extortion'.
"Yeu de tyala majhya bechkyat mag baghato (Let me lay my hands on him)," the MNS president said. Raj was speaking at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) after releasing MNS general secretary Shirish Parkar's fortnightly Me Maharashtracha, Maharashtra Majha.
Raj threatened Bhatt while referring to a recent extortion case filed against 11 MNS workers by a film producer. "They said that my workers went to the shooting spot and asked for extortion money," he said. "Is there any need for 11 workers to extort money? Mahesh Bhatt called the chief minister and asked him to implicate my men in a false case."
He announced that his party would continue to check if foreigners working in the film industry have proper work permit. "My workers had gone to the shooting spot to check if the foreigners working there had a proper permit visa," he said.
"There were artistes from Afghanistan, Iran, and Russia. The government does not bother to check if these artistes are working legally. The government may or may not take any action, but we will not stop our action."
He also demanded that the railways should allow local people to run the stalls on platforms. "We want advertisements of railway recruitment exams in Marathi newspapers. My party's delegation will soon meet railway minister Mamata Banerjee."
