Education clubbed with fun and amusement can work wonders for the kids. That is where a preschool- Daffodils- comes in. 14 years in the service of little children, Daffodils, which has been operating since June 1999 pays attention to quality education with a view to nurture the child to his/her best abilities.
Providing both early experiences and later educational programmes the preschool guarantees admissions for the students in CBSE and Maharashtra Boards.
Nidhi Ninad, the in-charge of the school says, "At Daffodils, we see to it that the little children enjoy their new surroundings and learn to interact with other children. We give importance to activities that build the child's concentration as well as language development. In time, the children can adjust well with new surroundings and are all set to enjoy the next year in nursery."
The preschool besides winning the Best Centre award among all 32 playschools in and around Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane at the POGO Channel's MAD summer camp last year has also won all the first three awards, during Inter-Nursery fancy dress competition held at Gadkari Rangayatan,Thane. Even though the management runs a school- Shivai Public School at Shivai Nagar, they have been conducting junior and senior classes at Daffodils for the convenience of younger students who after their lower classes are accordingly admitted in the 1st standard at the Shivai Public school, which has a state-of-the-art infrastructure with adequate play area.
"In Daffodils, the psychology and emotions of the children are given a lot of consideration and understanding and for that we have qualified and experienced teachers and staff, clean and sanitary environment for children, with annual medical and dental check-up for them," says Ninad.
With a strength of 300 to 350 students and ten main teachers and ten assistant teachers, the school also sends out SMS alerts to the parents for activities inside the class. "We also give User ID and unique passwords to each parent, through which she can access live photos and progress of the child," says Ninad.
