Philosophy
As a group, Marathon has always emphasised on innovation in construction technology, designing, and many other things. We are the pioneer in Mivan technology, PERY Technology and Special Low E Glass in the country. Green building which is an outcome of a design philosophy which focuses on increasing the efficiency of resource use - energy, water, and materials - while reducing building impacts on human health and the environment during the building’s lifecycle, through better siting, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal.
Benchmarks
Marathon Group was the first private sector entity to introduce the concept of modern town planning in its projects in the year 1922. We were also the first developer to build a helipad atop the 25 storey Marathon Heights project at Worli in the year 1996. Marathon Group is known for pioneering the concept of low-risk, high-return land bank concept in India. Using the tried and tested model, the Group has successfully developed mill land properties after resolving complex labour and asset reconstruction issues in Mumbai. Among the projects done using the model are Piramal Spinning and Weaving mill - Marathon Nextgen, Jay Bharat Oil mill - Marathon Heights, Mafatlal mills and Khatau Mills. We were also the first to provide affordable housing projects like Marathon Nagari at Badlapur.
