Despite losing out to estranged cousin Uddhav in the race to control Mumbai after his party put up a poorer performance than expected in the civic elections earlier this year, Raj Thackeray retains most of his appeal in his target constituency — youth and women. Raj is said to be banking on his charisma to get the loyal Sena voters to migrate to his party in the post-Bal Thackeray era. He has strong ideas and ideals when it comes to his beloved state of Maharashtra. And he is not afraid to stick by them in trying to make a bid for the reins of the state.
