Traffic constables of the Goregaon traffic outpost charged Mohammed
Abdul, a 32-yearold auto driver, at around 5pm on Saturday for not
carrying the original documents of the vehicle in the absence of his
driver’s license. Abdul, the traffic police said, was standing in a
no-parking area close to the
Oberoi mall in Goregaon (East). When the constable asked him for
his licence, Abdul gave a receipt issued by the regional transport
office stating his licence was due for renewal.
“The driver has to provide original documents of the vehicle. Abdul’s autorickshaw was impounded and was returned after he paid a Rs300 fine ,” said Vinayak Mule, senior PI, Goregaon traffic outpost.
