ShivSena corporators get tips on BMC do’s and don’ts

Sena corporators get tips on BMC do’s and don’ts

After capturing power in the BMC, it’s time for the Shiv Sena to teach its corporators a lesson or two about the civic body’s functioning.
In the first coaching class of the party’s newly-elected corporators, Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray not only taught them to speak decently, but also warned the Sainiks that no reservations on the reserved lands in the city should be lifted. If that was not all, several dos and don’ts were imparted to the corporators about their behaviour and functioning in the BMC House.
The one-day workshop organised at Andheri focused on teaching the newly-corporators their rules, powers and duties in the BMC house. “As a first-time corporator, all was new to me. Apart from Uddhavji showing us the way, several party leaders also guided us in the study camp,” said Miraj Shaikh, a nominated corporator.
Sena had roped in municipal secretary Mrudula Kulkarni and deputy commissioner Kiran Acharekar to give lectures on the BMC-related issues. Thackeray also inaugurated special guideline book consisting BMC rules and working process of the house, which was given to corporators.
