Reach out to physically and mentally-challenged kids by buying products made by them
This Diwali, one can reach out to physically and mentally-challenged kids by buying hand-painted diyas, envelopes or other gift items made by them.

ICMH Skills And Ability school, Mulund, organised Diwali Mela, where products like diyas, paper bags, pen stand and baskets were on sale. There are 100 mentally-handicapped students in this school.
Manisha Kundhadia, head of Diwali Mela, said, “We want to make our children independent. We want them to feel part of the society.” The money collected from this initiative will be used for their welfare.
Jivhala trust is a small trust that has twelve physically and mentally-challenged children. They have made a variety of diyas, which will be on sale at Dadaji Kondev Stadium in Thane. They are priced from Rs10 per piece.
These diyas are also pocket-friendly as they are cheaper than what is available in the market. For instance, a golden-coloured diya available for Rs15 in market is available at this trust for Rs8 per.
